I stopped at a Golden Coral for first time a couple months ago because it was across the street from hotel and I just wanted to eat and go to bed. I thought $20 seemed high because I figured it was absolute goy slop, but fuck it just get some food so I can go to sleep.
It was surprisingly good stuff desu. Not great, but lot's of items were good quality. And it turned out part of the reason for the price was it was steak night.

Meat quality was as expected, sub par. But I will say it was tasty. Ended up eating 3 steaks each cooked a perfect medium rare. I tipped the chef $15 because that has to be a hard job. I told him my story, and he gave me a nickname; Sleepy 3 steaks.

I'm sure half of the retards don't even know what temp they like, half those retards will get it and say they ordered it a different temp, and everyone barking out shit at the same time. That guy had talent.

They actually have cooks cooking the shit that you can see (I assumed it'd all be warmed up in bags and dumped in the bins).

My experience is that it's a richer, rural clientele that eats at Golden Corral. You have the church groups, with their waspy moms and any number of children. They're very white and very oblivious to it. Sometimes there might be an older teenage girl who makes eyes contact when you pass one another at the buffet.
Then there are of course the lard asses. Whether eating alone or in pairs, the lard asses typically dress comfortably with sweatpants and slide-on shoes often being a necessity rather than a choice. Lard asses tend not to say much. Even when eating together, they don't have much to say. You might have an ethnic family, nowadays usually Latino. They're all unique in their own, ethnicity-specific ways but the honkey gaze of Golden Corral regards them all the same.

It's nice to sit and chat with a qt but I honestly prefer alone sometimes. Just sit at the bar and chat with the bartenders.
Depending on your work this can be a really good habit...go to the same bar on the same night every couple weeks (Do this multiple bars and days of the week), even if just for happy hour, until you become almost friends (In some cases, actually friends). Let them know what you do and eventually it starts paying dividends as they will refer people your way or even introduce you if you are there and someone they think is relevant is also there. Plus I've had bartenders hook me up with women in their circle as well

I love buffets but hate the atmosphere and the total humongous fatasses that require two seats to sit one that naturally flock to these establishments. They should have a No-Fatties Friday's or something. Imagine everything being well stocked and half the building doesn't smell like flatulence.
