I've been to a couple of his restaurants both before and after he got famous. They weren't good before, and were worse after. From what I've heard from people who worked for him he was a giant asshole off-camera. Not like a Gordon Ramsey asshole, but an asshole who can't cook and just likes to be a dick for the sake of his own ego.

he's a goofball. i have been to exactly one restaurant that was in diners drive-ins and dives and it was great. they had a 2nd location across town that had previously been a mexican restaurant owned by a coworker's family and we went there all the time after work. the end thanks for reading my blog

i like his show. him as a person im not big on but hes not bad. ive been to barrio cafe (not as good as most other places here very meh), overeasy ( was decent bfast food but would get killed by tons of other bfast places here), whatever the mexican place was in flagstaff (sucked bad), and one other that was so underwhelming i dont remember which.

He seems to actually enjoy food, like Ainsley and Floyd. Unlike Gordon Ramsay and the rest of these really frilly TV chefs making art pieces out of food instead of just food.

He's a fat pig but he loves the food and what he does. Very genuine and not a massive egotist like Bourdain. Not really gonna watch his show or go to his restaurants but I won't deride it or him.
