So a chic fila opened up in the small town where my cousins live and I visited last week when it opened. They do it a new way, where there are two lines and no windows, just a door and a big pavilion. They take 4 orders and serve 4 cars at once. My local Chick-Fil-A is so popular they had to retrofit their entire drive-thru. They added a second lane, more outside runners, and built a pavilion that covers both lanes from the sun because the runners/order takers are so busy and always outside. Used to manage BOH at one. There are comouters that measure metrics such as 10 minute slot during the day and how much of what is ordered then. The breader has a screen that shows how much of each item to prep and drop when it is called for. So for instamce at 735 on a tuesday they know for the next 10 mins theyll need 15 spicy, 36 cfa, 3 baskets nugs etc. Once the cooked product is temo checked it is passed to the line where they hold it at 140, and for no more than 15 mins.
