I became a NEET a few months ago and I realised I have to cut down on food expenditure. What meals are tasty, nourishing and cheap? I usually only have one proper meal a day, in the evening. I have something like porridge with a banana and toast with peanut butter in the morning to keep me going until then. Tonight I had a simple meal of a baked chicken breast with a baked potato and fried buttered leeks seasoned with pink Himalayan salt, pepper, and a touch of chilli and garlic. I usually go to bed hungry now which is good, I'm losing some weight at last.

I should have said, I don't eat red meat.

Also I go to supermarkets half an hour before closing to get reduced price stuff.

Temp disabledfag neet here. Get on ebt. You already aren't contributing might as well go all the way. I only shop at Aldi / Lidl. Food quality is mediocre but I'm willing to compromise. These are just some things I usually stock up on weekly.

I go for the family pack of chicken legs or thighs ~7.00
chuck roast if it's on sale <10.00$
ground beef ~10.00
canned beans <1.00 ea
frozen veggies 1-2.00 ea
poverty spices 1.00 ea
eggs ~2.00 for 18
oatmeal is 1.50 for a huge container
frozen pizzas
whatever fruit is on sale that week ~ 3.00
bananas 1.00
Milk 2.00
