I've lived in Denmark for about 3 years now, it's not cheap but there's some great quality stuff if you can find it.
I've eaten out a few times and it's either really average shit you could throw together in less time way cheaper or the best god damn meal you'll get for an actually decent price for what you get.
I've had the best mussels in white wine here.
As for traditional foods, it's less game than people often acclaim to Scandinavian cuisine, though you can fairly easily find stuff like deer, pheasant, pigeon, etc. But Danes know how to make damn good pork.
Red cabbage is hands down the best accompaniment to pork, better than apple sauce IMO.

I don't know much about the restaurants here, despite working in one, but I definitely agree on the pork and the red cabbage.
