Why does my gochujang have a cancer warning on it now? I don't see anything on the ingredients list that looks too alarming.

>> No.17389474

>>17389442
Almost any product you buy in California has that warning, even if it doesn’t make sense. Even most stores have the warning posted by the entrance. It’s just a way to avoid liability, doesn’t mean it’s dangerous. Could be anything from the plastic container to preservatives, it doesn’t mean anything just compliance with the law.

For the dumbasses who don't live in California and aren't aware of the stupidest law passed, its called Prop 65. Its such a broadly written law that it forced everyone to put a stupid warning on everything from school buildings, apartments, movie theaters, all sorts of foods and beverages.

The point you can't fathom because of your blind raging hate boner for the west is that the law was written so poorly that it left a huge margin for lawsuits. To counter that, business, organizations (churches even), etc. all put this warning on everything EVEN WHEN ITS NOT REQUIRED. Thus its over used to the point of being people stopped taking the warning seriously at all. Where you then thought that meant we want corporations to poison us with carcinogens is your own projection. Bet you're also poor and hang out in socialist circles and wish death to anyone who makes more than you. (oh wait, did I just lead you to a place you weren't going?)

The mere fact that you think that there exists the "Reddit VS based/pol" epistemic dichotomy should alarm you to the fact that you are a mentally ill retard - you are so fucking ignorant and retarded that you don't even have a concept of what understanding would mean.

Your entire world-view is informed by tweet-sized posts on 4chan and .jpg infographics, that is literally all you know yet everyone who disagrees with you is the "brainwashed ZOGbot". It's incredible, stuff of ancient comedies really.

It's not. It's just that companies realized it's less expensive to print the warning than to actually pay specialists to do the research and get confirmation that it's not cancer causing. The lawmakers made the mistake of thinking companies in current year would actually give enough of a fuck to not want "CAUSES CANCER" stamped on their product.
