Hello chili fren. I also use dried peppers, but I use a larger variety, deseed them as you have done, roast them in the oven, and then grind them into a chili powder which I then add to my chili. I like to make a big batch, because, as I am sure you know, deseeding etc the chilis is the most labor intensive part, and that way you don't have to do it every time you make chili.

Save yourself some effort - leave the seeds in the chilis. Also get any dried and smoked chilies going in a pot with some beef stock/broth/bouillon and blend it when they're soft, saves a lot of time, adds beefiness and salt. Don't blend it hot in a blender without a deathgrip on the lid - or just use an immersion blender.
