I'm from Italy. We put cheese on /some/ fish dishes, such as pasta with garlic, chilli and tuna. You can top it with grated cheese.
Most other times, though, we grate dried salted fish eggs over fish dishes as its generally thought to compliment seafood better than cheeses do in most applications.

Correct. That's so you order the appropriate number for your body size. For me it would be 10 or 12, depending on what else I order to go with it, like fries or apple pie.
