What do you feel about cultured meat?

I’ve heard that someone has designed cultured meat salmon and tuna of perfect flavour. It costs nothing to produce.

I've read that it costs about 1% of what it did a decade ago to produce, but it's still around triple the price of real meat. Might not be too much longer until it's cheaper.

It's interesting. I like the idea of not having to kill an animal but still being able to have meat. It's needs to be just as nutritious as high quality meat though, that's my main concern.

Me on the right.

What makes it so cultured? Reading books, travelling, studying religion?

Bacterial culture, it's fermented.

Let's not get anti-semetic, please. Likening Jews to infectious bacteria that need to be exterminated is VERY offensive.

I'm kind of a fat ginger and my girlfriend is Cuban, so this picture upsets me

I've heard cultured meat isn't financially viable and isn't likely to be for some time

Supposedly chicken breast has gotten down to about $8/lb which isn't too far off from the real thing. That's impressive when you realize in the 2000s it was like $300,000 per pound. It's not going to be within the next few months like news sites keep saying but it doesn't seem too far off until it's in stores either. Especially if food subsidies ever get moved from real meat to cultured meat.

It's just artificial processed garbage and I'd refuse to eat it.

Is this really the best picture you could think to attach to this post?
