As a gay dude, I always get steak cooked at least to medium-wel. Anything below is too fleshy and reminds me of having dick in my mouth. It even kind of tastes like dick. I like to keep my food and sex pleasures separate, so I just get steak cooked until it has a non-fleshy texture.

I ordered filet mignon well done at a teppan restaurant and the chef had a bad time. First he tried butterflying it, then cutting it in half and at that point I said "if it helps you can dice it" because it's clear there was no way to do this sensibly. I apologized for that experience and tipped well but I was curious to see what he'd do to cook it to my liking.
Since then if I go there and he's my chef I order it rare like a normal person just to not have him start crying about such a traumatic experience again.
