Is this the most overrated fast food establishment?

The Texas toast is admittedly good but that's not the reason why people eat here. They just care about that fucking sauce. The food is fucking garbage on its own

Even In-n-Out and Chick-Fil-A have more to offer than this shithole and they're equally overrated. I don't know how people can line up to eat at this place when there's nothing going for it other than a fucking dipping sauce.

I had it once when I was in the USA and the chicken was really good, sauce was good, Texas toast was okay but not really what I want with fries and chicken fingers and fries were pretty bad like subpar generic frozen fries bad.

It's pretty good, easily the best quality chicken you can get from a fast food joint anywhere. It's essentially the exact same product you'd get if you bought chicken tenderloins from the grocery store, dredged them in flour, and then deep fried em, the only difference is that you're paying for the privilege of not having to do that work, just the eating.
Their chicken tenders are perfectly breaded, with thin basic flour and usually (but not always) have a sort of seasoning/marinade in it that adds a little kick to their tenders. This doesn't apply to every single store though, as I live in North County San Diego, and the taste of the Canes in Vista, San Marcos, and Escondido are all different. It's simple, pure, fried chicken. You may want to dip it in sauce or add season salt to it; they only offer ketchup or thousand island, so you may need to bring your own. Additionally, their tenders are delivered piping hot out of the frying oil, so they're very "wet" when you get them, making the breading at risk of sloughing off.
Their fries are crinkle-cut, always very fresh and hot. Salt level varies on visitation hours and particular location. They are uniformly better than the crinkle-cut fries you can get at Del Taco, and definitely better than the shit you get from the frozen food section at the supermarket, but not necessarily better than making your own from scratch in a deep fryer.
Their Texas Toast (its sort of like a two-sided hamburger bun with butter on one side to make it crunchy) is pretty good on its own, but makes a horrible sandwich base in my opinion. It looks and feels like it ought to be pre-made processed junk out of the supermarket, but I've never bought texas toast out of a grocery store that wound up as good as Cane's.
I don't like cole slaw but my family eats it and they say it's nothing special, they honestly prefer to replace it with extra fries if they remember you're allowed to do that, but they'll gladly eat it otherwise.
