I've tried it only once (Duro Wat). The dish itself was alright but I could not eat enough of it for all the sourdough bread that comes with it (and keep in mind you use the bread to pick up and eat the dish). With that said, the tons of carbs might make it the best runner's cuisine.

There are a couple Ethiopian places in my city, I've been a few times. The fact they don't give you utensils and you scoop everything with bread was an effective tool for dates who hadn't tried it before. Simultaneously show that I'm broadminded, but also make my date slightly uncomfortable so she opens up to me easier.

Food is pretty good, and Berbere is a solid spice blend. That said, it's not top tier in my opinion.
