new to the sardine lifestyle. Got 10 of these. Using them as a small meal when I get home from work. I eat them on saltine crackers. First day I used regular frenches yellow mustard. Today I'm using franks hot sauce. Looking for other ways to eat/sauces to use but still easy stuff. Also I just pour the oil out. Not sure if your supposed to use that for something.

Sharp cheddar, lemon juice and pepper. You can also make fisherman's eggs. I usually just rip a can open, slap some hot sauce on and eat as a snack.

This is a good brand, especially for the price. I just add Crystal hot sauce. You can also use tomato/pasta sauce or mix them into mashed potato

I’ve been experimenting with peppers . I fried thin slices of pasilla peppers then chopped them finely and put them on sardines in olive oil ( drained ) .

Get a bag of instant rice that cooks in 90 seconds (1:30 if you use metric).
Cook the rice, add can of sardines in with seasoning of choice, hot sauce, etc., mix/mash it all up.
If yours came in olive oil, you can dump it all in; otherwise, add a tablespoon of olive oil.

They're great for breakfast. Dice an onion and a tomato, use the oil from the can in a pan over low heat to soften the onion for 5 mins or so, then mash up the deenz with a fork, then add the deenz and the diced tomato to the pan. Give a quick fry over medium heat, then plate and top with an over-easy fried egg. Add herbs or whatever the fuck on top too. Use whatever spices you like, it's gonna be gud.

I don't care for the sardines in your picture all that much. I buy them at Costco, because they're cheap and good enough, but they're far from my favorites to just like add mustard and put on toast or crackers, so I dump a can into pic related (after cooking) and mix it in. It ends up pretty good.

>> No.17003980

My deenz tip is to eat them on pilot bread instead of regular crackers.

Make pico de gallo (chopped fresh jalapenos, tomatoes, onions, cilatro, can add an avocado if you want) or get store bought. Mix in sardines. Eat on a tostada or crackers. Lemon and hot sauce optional.
