I have Crohn's disease. I have not had a solid shit since I was a teenager, over a decade ago. I have learned to manage the diarrhea and recognize the symptoms of a flare and so I can usually go about my life with 4-5 hours between needing to shit, but I also have emergencies where I need to run to a public bathroom or shit myself. I also get chronic hemorrhoids which last for weeks on end and basically mean I get to sit on the toilet in agony every couple hours until the preparation H and Epsom salt baths finally calm my asshole down.

My sympathies, OP. My guts have slowly grown to hate lots of basic foods, most sources of fiber, garlic/onion, wheat, beans, the list goes on. If I deviate I get nasty diarrhea, nausea or headaches for some reason.

>>16991869
>shit can always be worse
This is true, I recently had my guts scoped and they look perfectly healthy. Also basically every other vital sign is perfect, blood pressure, BMI is ideal, etc. So I guess that's something.

I'm pretty sure my gut biome is royally fucked up and that's it. But because nobody knows shit about the microbiome I doubt it's getting fixed any time soon. All I can do is eat my bland chicken and rice type meals and hope my body figures out how to fix itself and doesn't just decide to hate rice next until I can't eat anything at all. At least my guts aren't slowly destroying themselves like Chron's-anon, that sounds bad bro.

I have a brother with Crohn's. He was on a rice-and-chicken diet for almost a decade and had to drink ultra-concentrated iron ions (enough that one of his servings would kill most men) because his colon was so fucked and wasn't absorbing iron properly. A few months ago his body stopped absorbing even the iron concentrate and his hemoglobin count nosedived again, so as a hail mary he began eating organic beef. Today he says he feels the best he has ever felt since it all started, and his iron and hemoglobin are back up to healthy levels. According to him it has to be organic (and maybe some special kind of meat; not sure if he's doing steak or ground beef or what), he believes due to sensitivity to antibiotics in the meat.

Can't you just chew and enjoy the flavor, texture etc then spit it out? The filling of the stomach is basically a by product of enjoying a fine meal. Just fill up on whatever you can usually digest afterwards.
Don't tell me you can't do it at home because it's socially reprehensible when you're in complete misery from being unable to enjoy good food?

>Surely a taste of what you can't have is better than nothing at all?
not really. half of the enjoyment of eating is it filling your stomach and probably your brain giving you signals that you're eating good food. spitting out something that tastes good doesn't feel right, and seeing/smelling it chewed up like that is gross almost like vomit.

>because his colon was so fucked and wasn't absorbing iron properly
The vast majority of iron is absorbed in the small intestine.
You can have your entire large intestine including the colon removed and will still absorb most nutrients the same as before proctocolectomy. The colon mostly just takes in some remaining water and electrolytes.
Someone with Crohn's who has very low iron would get that way because of inflammation in the small intestine, higher up in the GI tract.

Fuck fuck fuck.

So I have been constipated for the better part of 2-3ish days now. This morning I am managing to take a nice shit. So far an hour in and I managed to fill the entire toilet water part up with poop.

Usually my poop cycles are like this

>absolute diarrhea/lots of shit coming out and start to feel empty
>somewhat solid shit
>barely anything mostly rabbit poop
>barely anything mostly rabbit poop
>somewhat solid shit
>barely anything mostly rabbit poop
>barely anything mostly rabbit poop or somewhat solid shit
>absolute diarrhea/lots of shit coming out and start to feel empty

Usually all of them are messy and hard to clean since they come out with some moisture like a sticky tary wet poop.

I hate this cycle bros. I hate pooping 1 hour+ in the toilet everyday.
I just want quick poops and no wipe poops.

IBS can be pretty much anything. It's for GI problems what "essential tremor" is for neurological problems i.e. the diagnosis they give you when they don't immediately find a real cause.
For a lot of IBS patients it might be diet caused like you're thinking. For others though it might be not yet detected IBD which despite the many armchair food related opinions on how to deal with it is not considered diet related by the mainstream GI consensus and is more of an autoimmune disease that where most anything you eat is going to give you trouble while inflammation is out of control and most anything you eat will be fine while inflammation is less active.

Ten gorillon blood tests and fecal tests + pretty bad looking results from colonoscopy. Thing is I've had 2 different gastrologists shake their heads and be unsure what it is then my third one, seeing all the results I brought him, asked whether my previous doctors were blind or retarded, diagnosed it as colitis and got me on steroids followed by Imuran and now I'm pretty good.
tl;dr massive blood CRP & some other markers + a colonoscopy

i assume you zalking about that stomach acid making its way up your tube. Been there had it for 6 + years. How did i soothe it to zhe point of not noticing being bothered by it in miniscule amounts ? R E D W I N E my nigga. Any kind. whatever you like. Post meal 1-2 shots of red wine. If not enough to calm the burn you smack a third one in there. With any amount of shots you chug some water straight afterwards. Boom now you are good to go, good to eat ehatever the f you wanna eat THO that doesnt mean you can just have 3 quarter pounders with chilli and not get messed up. I am telling you if you eat LESS refined sugars and LESS processed anything + do the wine tour for at least a month you will recover no problem.
tl;dr 1-3 Shots of RED wine after one meal per day. Preferably the meal you will go to bed afterwards. Do that for a month and boy your stomach will absolutly thank you for it. ALSO NO COFFEE, none, just tea. for the first month AT LEAST FOR A MONTH you dont touch that garbage. If and only IF you want your stuff to heal up properly

I'm not actually from USA so I can't really compare, quick search reveals that colonoscopy prices in USA are a fucking scam. For me it was only around 30% of minimum monthly wage for a colonoscopy with anaesthesia and biopsies.
I'm sorry for your situation anon. The cheapest thing you could do is test blood for inflammation markers (CRP) and do a fecal occult blood test. Otherwise idk, fall for one of the many US health system scams or consider medical tourism.

My dear senpai, hit that wine for some time consistently. By that i mean any sign of acid you quench the f out of it woth wine. BOOM over idk how long itll calm out. Thats how it went for me. Not a coincidence either since i had this garbage in my throat for more than 5 years. I lost track how long tho but iirc it started in 2014 and kicked off when i started abusing alcohol in 2016 ish. Seriously my dear, wine quench whenever you feel that stuff and youll be doing yourself a big favour. Also i have visited 3 doctors and not one could help me woth my issue... one day i just crack open some wine and the pain literally dissolved in mid air. I dont know nor care whats inside red wine that does the trick, all i care about is results desu and again no doc helped me but the bottle of my favourite Cheap spanish/Rooski wine helped me like you wouldnt believe
