What foods are nostalgic for you? For me it's cheap Prego sauce and lean pockets. My parents both worked full time when I was a kid, so I basically subsisted on those for several years. I'd dip the lean pocket in cold sauce, it was tasty and filling. Sometimes I will grab them if I see them on sale at the local Walmart.

Bugles. My babysitter and still close friend used to come over every Friday to take care of me when my parents had their usual late shift. He'd always come with his PS1 and a big bag of Bugles to share since we loved to watched movies after playing.
He'd place the Bugle over the head of my penis and blow into the small end as a joke. Said he was helping it get bigger later when I get older.

In the states we had "Bosco sticks" which were very fluffy bread sticks filled with mozzarella. They were so good. No wonder we are all so fucking fat now.

I still eat bologna and cheese sandwiches. I just either put a fancy mayo or mustard on it now.

Haven’t eaten canned ravioli in years but I smile when I see them in the store.

Sunny D. California style.

My dad would make “cowboy spaghetti” where he’ll put either a little steak sauce or bbq sauce in the pasta. My wife nearly threw her plate at the wall when I made some for her one day.

Bosco stick day was the best day in high school.

Anyway, for me, it'd be SpaghettiOs. Yeah, they suck and are terrible for you. But growing up, my parents worked a lot and were out late gambling so quick, easy, microwaveable meals were staples to my latchkey kid cuisine. We were poor so it was a treat when we could afford to get anything Chef Boyardee or name brand (Campbell) SpaghettiOs over the even more disgusting store brand canned ravioli and pasta.

Once I was allowed to use the stove, SpaghettiOs and a grilled cheese sandwich something I always made during the winter or when I felt sick. I'd always dip my sandwich into the sauce that remained after eating the rings and meatballs. I sometimes still get SpaghettiOs whenever I have a cold or something.

Cold pasta salad. My mom would make this great little pasta salad with rotini, olives, capers, sundered tomatoes, vinegar peppers, basil, chicken, and dressed it in oil with grated parm on top. It was so good just how it was, and it was good hot or cold so I could eat it whenever I wanted.
