Translation of the original post:

"For cheeseburgers, I buy ready-made sesame buns and chicken cutlets, but everything else is done by myself! And of course the highlight of this dish is my "bear honey" sauce, as I call it))))

Cut the buns in half lengthwise, smear mayonnaise on each half (this is for soaking) and set aside. Fry the cutlets to cook, if thick, cut them in half lengthwise. Take a tomato rings, onion, melted cheese (I take hohland with ham) and ketchup or mustard, whatever you like.

Then make sauce - mix chocolate butter, beaten egg yolks, Dijon mustard (for spiciness) and finely chopped cashew nuts in one bowl, knead until smooth))

Pour liberally over cheeseburger and put it in the oven for 15-20 minutes!

Bon appetit!
My husband likes it with beer, and the kids like it that way."

Russian people in my opinion are responsible for creating some of the worst dishes on earth. They do actually have some good food but for some reason they insist on eating absolute trash.

When I was dating a Russian girl during my student days I went to stay with her family in Russia for a month. Here's some of the crap her mum made:

- "salad" of raw garlic, grated cheese and mayonnaise that they mixed together and ate on its own
- one time she covered meat in a layer of mayonnaise before frying it. The mayonnaise went brown and crusty, she called it a "seasoning" for the meat
- Homemade cutlets (something similar to a hamburger patty) but with random pieces of rice inside for no reason. She called them "hedgehogs"
- Homemade pizza that was topped with mayonnaise and ketchup

I'm sure I could remember more but it was 7 years ago. In the entire month I was there they didn't eat a single vegetable.

I mean, growing up in the Soviet union probably didn't impart good cooking skills, with the empty supermarkets and such

Yeah no, cooking meat in mayonnaise is not traditional Russian cooking, her mom is just a terrible cook. Fucking idiot lol.
It's fine if you genuinely dislike Russian food, I just don't think you've had even half decent Ruski food. Raw garlic, cheese and mayo isn't a salad.
See if there's a Ruski store or restaurant around you and try a few things from there. You're bound to find something you like.

Fun fact, supermarkets really weren't a thing in the Soviet union. It was just smaller shops and butchers and I remember getting all of our food from individual shops and outdoor bazaars even in the 90s. I haven't even been to a supermarket until I was like 8 or 9 and was blown away at how you can just pick up whatever you want and put into your cart and get everything all under one roof lol. It was just so alien to me.
Man this thread reminded me I haven't been to a Ruski store in forever, I might go and pick up some treats in a bit. I've been jonesing for some salty dried fish lately.
