I don't think Europeans really have a significant amount of hunter genes anymore. They've been shown to produce higher amounts of enzymes in their saliva to help break down starchy food. And have a high rate of genes to be able to digest lactose after childhood. Neither of those things would be too beneficial for a hunter but really useful to a farmer. I had this when I was losing weight, but I kept eating under my calorie limit and it eventually went away as well. I think the stomach is just the last place your body will take fat from or it is slower to do so.
