A lot of indian dishes are a fuckton of work to make, i recommend just making a butter chicken or paneer curry with garlic naan. You can get a premade/frozen naan and it will be pretty good. Look up recipes and see what you need to make the dish and get that stuff.

In fairness to whitey, most of them can handle a moderate level of spice, but it's a function of weather. Indians who live in colder climates (and during winter) don't eat spice either. The further south you go, the more prevalent it is. But you need to temper that shit, with curd (yoghurt) or coconut/regular milk or cream. Ghee also works.

I always go to my local poomart for spices.
You can get like a 1kg sack of whatever for the same price that McCormick sells a tiny bottle of whatever.
Plus there’s a hot Indian girl who works there and doesn’t shave her armpits. I love when she wears tanktops.

This. Spices are dirt cheap at PooMart and they carry a wider variety. I’m lucky to have o e the size of a grocery store near me. Their produce selection is usually pretty nice and their prepared foods are great. Brown cuties are just a bonus.
