He just sucks off the cooking skills of the vendors, sticking his camera at the cook and stealing their technique without giving recognition. I remember once he stole a mexican grandmother from a market and made her cook Mole for 8 hours straight at someone else's house, and he didn't chip in any ingredients and just ate all of their food.

Yeah, this bit bothers me. Even if you really like a certain type of cuisine there's bound to be something in it that doesn't appeal to your tastes or is just from a shitty place. My thoughts are either he plays it up for the camera (fair game, guy is making food porn videos and people like to sperg over how good some meal looks) or he never releases videos from the shit places - which makes sense if he's worried about retaliation or ruining someone's livelihood.
