What would we be without Denny's?

Quality food at late night hours. There are times when I can't sleep and just feel the need to get away from the family so I would go out and get something to eat there.

Their menu is very well versatile. Want a steak? Get it. Want a hamburger? Get it. Could go for some breakfast? Mfker, you hit the jackpot there.

Denny's is comfort food.

My wife previously worked as an IHOP waitress a few years back. It was the customers that causes them to go from decent to death moods.

KEK, fair enough. We were in college here in Pittsburgh and could walk around a lot between buildings. I only ate at her IHOP a couple of times and would constantly receive evil eyes from cooks and one other waitress. An older lady that thought she was a cougar and preyed on the younger staff. At least that is what my wife would always say.

I remember getting IHOP chocolate chip pancakes when I was like 9 on a roadtrip with my grandparents. They were large pancakes but had about 3 chocolate chips each. I didn't say anything because even at that age I was paranoid about food tampering, but my grannie was pissed and demanded a fresh set of pancakes with more chocolate chips. The waiter, some stoner-looking dazed white dude took them away clearly looking a bit irritated. I was paranoid that they probably spit in the new pancakes (which had been boosted to maybe a dozen chips per cake) but ate them anyways since I didn't really have a choice in the matter.

While not chocolate chips. I remember a story my wife told me before she ended up quitting IHOP.
A family came in and their daughter ordered strawberry pancakes. The little girl said she LOVED strawberries and it was her birthday. My wife made sure to have the cooks give her extra strawberries and one more pancake at no additional charge.
What happened?
The cunt of a mother threw a fit as her little girl didn't need to eat all of that crap and ended up cussing out my wife during the lunchtime rush. Even tossed the food on the floor before storming out.
People are jagoffs and treat restaurant workers as slaves. A shame really.

Local diners suck because they're populated by locals, and if you're not a local and you walk into one, you get locals staring at you trying to figure out why a non local is sitting at their favorite table.
