mine doesn't turn on when i plug it in. i got it from my sister for christmas. i think it's a symbol of the resentment she holds towards me from our childhood, when our emotionally and psychologically mother and absent father deliberately turned us against each other. even though it's broken, i can't bring myself to throw it away- perhaps a symbol of my hopes of rekindling our relationship?

i forgot to type "abusive" perhaps because i was conditioned never to speak or even think about what we were put through- the screaming, the cutting words, the endless nagging criticism- perhaps everything is a symbol, when it comes to consciousness. maybe symbols are the language of the deeper parts of our mind.

It uses less power than a conventional convection oven. Thats about it.

>Is it just aimed at retards that don't even know their oven has a convection setting?
No. It is aimed at retards that don't even know that this thing is an oven. They call it an air fryer and say its healthier than traditional deep frying. Which is true but entirely irrelevant. Also not everyone has a convection oven.

Not that other guy but how is the oil applied in an air fryer? Do you just pour it over the food "manually" like before putting into a convection oven or do you fill it somewhere in the machine? I keep hearing it uses less oil than deep frying, which is true, but are the results the same in a convection oven?
I somehow got it in my mind that an air fryer spreads the oil around or something.

No worries. To answer your question though: Air fryers take less power, preheat almost instantly, create less heat in your kitchen, are portable, and the airflow is usually much stronger than your usual convection oven.

I have picrel and I use it fairly often. It's like having a more efficient microwave and you can good a pretty good variety of meals with it when you get used to how it cooks. It's also nice that it has air fry and oven options so I can cook a frozen pizza on oven or air fry vegetables so I'd say it's worth it.

You sound like a working class chump. I bet you thought it would be a great "investment", how you would wake up to a warm, healthy breakfast to start off your long day. Maybe, you even had a couple thoughts about all the other nifty little uses you could find for the thing, how it would help you cook healthier meals in general, shed a couple pounds off the old gut, boost your confidence around work and with the ladies. Yeah, maybe that slow cooker would start your life cooking again, wouldn't it? I can see your strained hands holding the box and reading through it carefully at the store. A little bit pricey, but you're the type of guy who thinks everything is more than you can spend, aren't you. And look what happened to you. Look what the slow cooker did to you. Fucked you over, and made you clean it like a useless bitch. You don't even fucking like oatmeal. Piece of shit, you've been repeating those three words your whole life, haven't you. Yeah, how was work after that piece of shit fucked you over? I bet it was on your mind the whole day, you probably didn't say shit to nobody. Can't be telling people about your mistakes. How your little fix yourself plan, failed you. Don't want people to start thinking you're the failure. You're the piece of shit, all along. You don't want that do you? You don't want to be the piece of shit everybody secretly whispers about, do you? Was your father a piece of shit like you? I bet he never had a slow cooker. He had a woman, a house, a damn good job. I bet it's slow cooking you the fuck alive, isn't it. Comparing yourself to him. How one day when all the steam runs our of your life, you'll discover how you're nothing more than burnt shit to be scrapped off and thrown in the trash.

Got one as a wedding present,
doesn't heat up the house like an oven. Good for roasting, the convection really keeps shit crisp. Broiler heats up in about a minute so I stick my sandwiches in open-faced to get cheese bubbly and meat crispy.
Big, noisy, and nearly impossible to clean thoroughly.
I use it frequently but if it broke I probably wouldn't bother to buy a second one.
