Is this sip overrated? Shipping is expensive.

They have it at local stores here. Also the Bawls feel really good up your ass

It just tastes like regular energy drink. Haven't had it in years since I don't drink energy drinks any more. I use to just grab one for the chuckle of drinking balls.

If you see one in a gas station grab it, I would never suggest buying some online and paying for shipping.

God these things remind me of college. Don’t know what it was but everybody in the CS department was obsessed with these. We saved all our empty bottles (regular and diet) and alternated them along the window wall in our departments Linux lab. It became known as the Bawls Wall and confused outsiders who would walk passed the lab outside. They redid that building a few years ago so it’s probably gone. RIP Loyola bawls wall

To this day it is my favorite soda. That being said the shipping cost has kept me from buying it for the past decade. I wish my local shops carried it.

It was great back in the early 'aughts during the times of LAN parties and paintball tournaments. I filled by back-player pod pack full of the 12oz cans after the Chicago Open when they were packing up booth.

Nowadays, it's a bit too heavy for my tastes on vanilla, but still hits hard on the nostagia.

Nice. Never got into the MacOS ecosystem. Linux stability has come a long way in 5 years. I have no issues nowadays but I try to stay offline since my job is 8 hours of providing security for the banking cabal. Can make you go crazy.

Halo 1 came out in 2001, and CS 1.6 I picked up around the same time. 1990 birthdate, wish I had a few years before because all the older "cool kids," seemed to have a more wild time in college LAN parties and their own rides to paintball competitions, and I was along for the ride.

Still have the old computer and modded xbox, but wish I hung onto my Impule and Dye Matrix 4

Colleges will have computer labs that everyone can use. We had a special lab for the CS department that only we could access since Linux has some of the best dev software out there and let’s you play with its shit. The CS department there was small, under 20 CS majors across all classes so we were pretty tight. Our lab had a couch, Xbox 360 and minifridge. Became a second home. During nights we had to cram to finish projects the lab would be full and we’d get a bottle of whiskey or something and just drink while doing work last minute, rotating couch naps. Then when the Royal Farms opened at 4am we’d send someone out to get us breakfast sandwiches. Great times.

Here is my experience graduating college in 2018. It might sound retarded or strange and maybe its just me but it is what it is.

Everytime something like this would occur its like we were all too aware that this was a "college experience meme" and therefore it could not be genuine. It feels my generation is too aware and too scared to have genuine interaction so we just mock it. Its sad really

>> No.16737672

>>16737659
It's shitty, isn't it? Being too self-aware to be in the moment? Everyone has a recording device in their pocket too, so you have to be even more guarded. I remember stupid shenanigans that were awesome experiences, but you couldn't even think of getting away with a little fun today without getting a misdemeanor charge.

It is. I am curious if my age range is impacted the most. Growing up viewing content that portrayed life before. Only to come to age and everything is different.

That really does sound horrible. Even as an aging millennial I’ve noticed myself adopting this attitude. Everything I do I seem to want to mold around memes and internet discourse. They were legitimately good times in college and it’s unfortunate that we’re growing super self aware as the other anon said. Back then, and this was 2008, we didn’t even think of what we were doing, it was just fun for being fun. We would flick the light switch to emulate a rave in the lab while blasting “Every time we touch” and didn’t care if it was considered tacky or some fad. Times were more simple.

2008 was about the point the happiness died. You can see it even in movie styles up til right then. Oversaturated color palettes, upbeat storylines for the most part that had a sense of humor about themselves. People seemed content in a weird way. It almost reminds me of the 80s meeting the 90s, where animosity and urbanization started to rule over the carefree nature of the 80s before shifting into grunge and then picking up around 2000 with xtreme sports and a generally positive attitude that emphasized overcoming challenges and abandoning the nihilism that had been taking shape. Once that energy faded people seemed to have a very... dim view of the world that only got worse over time and was compounded by PC culture's bloodthirst to control all things and silence unwanted voices. The effects are quite obvious now, especially with covid. Destroying people and relishing in their demise is commonplace, humor and speech are even more heavily regulated, and positivity is limited to cookie cutter social media memes and video clips. Nobody wants to create real things, just profit off of popularity. They believe they are relegated to the system in place and can only interact with the world through that limited interface. I miss the wild west days of the internet like you would not believe.

My uncle is the oldest among 4 sisters and he's a prepper. He's turned all his savings and disposable income into gold and silver.
All he does is gamble on online, play WoW, and fuck whores. He taught me the value of a job, how to play poker (from his vegas dealer days), and drank nothing but Bawls day and night.

We housed him for a while after he left Alaska, then Vegas, and now he's fucked off to who knows where driving old people around. Yeah, bawls are aight.

26 and my friends and I were privileged enough to have xbox live during 360 days so LAN parties were just experimental fun once - never got it up and running though. We never had more than 4 people over at a time to make a LAN party necessary either. Where we live (bible belt) it wasn't a hub of technology so we all grew up sharing split screen. I had the Gamecube/Wii, bros had the PS2/3, and then we all later had 360's but were still evolve-trading pokemon on our advances, sp's, and ds's.

I recommend getting the sampler, I ordered one earlier this year to try all the flavors and it was totally worth it. Ginger is great, I was excited for the cherry cola but it was the only disappointing flavor.
