Why are canned coffee beverages so rare in the western world? You can get them everywhere on vending machines and convenience stores in Japan but the only notable western brands I can think of are monster java and starbucks. Why doesn't the west have canned black coffee and stuff?

You can get jarred or canned coffees just about everywhere, but fresh coffee is available every few feet out in the sticks so it's not worth the horrifically high price. The only time I had a canned coffee that was worth it was an Italian cola/coffee mix.

Most petrol stations here have a cafe in them. It's not hard to come across a barsita made coffee. If you can't, then your nearest option is bottled iced coffee, which is essentially chocolate milk but coffee flavour.

There are a few different canned coffee brands you can find around here, but most gas stations have coffee dispensers. And for the ones that don't they still have fridges with canned coffee.
