I eat from my uni dining hall. My favorite breakfast there is their wonderful plastic scrambled eggs with whatever fried potatoes and meat are on the menu that day, one of their breakfast pastries (they rotate daily), and a little bowl of yogurt with granola chunks and a spoon of jelly mixed in.

As much as I want to love Japanese food, I can't. Outside of Ramen and Okonomiyaki most of the food has the same flavor. It's not bad by no means but it isn't isn't on my bucket list when I think of foods to try out. Why is Japanese food taste the same?
