I have 2 near me, one of which is downtown ab a 5 minute drive and it's an older store staffed entirely by niggers who are always mean as fuck, and it has a shitty drivethru lane with a terrible speaker so they can't hear you. the other one is ab 15 minute highway drive away and is a newer store next to a shopping area w/ a target and other shit, the staff is mostly white, their speaker is clear and they can hear me, they've always been nice, and they're very fast. I'm glad I found out the second location because I enjoy arbys every now and again but I wouldn't go because every time was a terrible experience. Now I will gladly drive the 15 minutes to go to a location where I've never had a bad experience. I will say however I am upset they got rid of the potato cakes and loaded fries. but I got 2 flyers of coupons in the mail the other day for them and it had a $12 family meal that included 2 beef and cheddars, 4 sliders, 6pc mozzarella stick, and 4 small fries, fucking crazy good deal.

And I’ve traveled enough to know that “fast food fish”, especially in battered/fried form, exists in basically every country where fish is consumed somewhat regularly?

Arby's is a legitimately great fast food chain. I don't know what they did to get on the shitlist of pop culture, but every time I get Arby's I'm impressed. The sandwiches actually look like they do in the adverts, you get a solid amount of flavorful meat - compare it to any other fast food chain honestly. Buy a fucking "saweetie" meal because nothing makes me hungrier than having some nobody nigger star shoved down my throat - get a depressing, dried out mostly bread "burger" in a box with 4 day old nuggets on the side. It's a joke. Go to Arby's for the same price and get a fat smokehouse beef sandwich with curly fries, it's not even a comparison. Arby's sells actual fucking food. Their chicken nuggets are whole chicken not reconstituted chicken paste, all their stuff is great.

Ironically the least impressive sandwiches on the menu are the roast beef sandwiches, which is a shame since that's what they're known for, but everything else is fucking solid.

Patrician taste here. I always get 2 double meat french dips to throw in the fridge to eat a couple days later plus a dbl beef and cheddar combo for dinner. Side cheese dip is also good when the curly fries are overcooked. I run into this sometimes. My blog post probably makes me sound like a fat ass but I only eat there maybe 3-4 times a year. Can’t make up my mind so I just get all the shit I like.

Arby's is my favorite fast food restaurant. I generally dont care for fast food, but Arby's sandwiches and fries I enjoy. Reubens are my favorite kind of sandwich and theirs is decent, so it's the easiest way to get a Reuben without the hassle of doing it myself (if I'm making myself a Reuben, I'm making the corned beef, and that takes a week+ to brine) or going to a sit-down restaurant or even a place I can't drive-thru. Even their basic beef and cheddar with horseradish sauce is pretty good for fast food. Their fries are so much better than some place like McDonald's, but I dont really care for French fries, so I can go with or without. Maybe it's just me because I'm not a big fan of plain burgers and fries, but if Im getting fast food, Arby's and Chic Fil A are my first choices, but always Arby's first.

I've found a lot of Youtubers seem to really hate Arby's and rank it very low on fast food tier lists because they dont do plain burgers/fries. Go literally anywhere else then? I dont care much for plain burgers and fries but love deli sandwiches, so Arby's is my favorite fast food joint for quick, drive-thru sandwiches.

Forever I thought it was that it was just a Reddit-tier meme that idiots repeat till the point they get legitimately angry and irrational about fast food, like the above poster, similar to pineapple pizza. I still think think that's true, but there's another possible origin of that hate, mindlessly regurgitated by redditors, and it lies in the company's history.
The chain was started by two brothers from Ohio, Forrest and Leroy Raffel, WWII vets who wanted offer a higher quality option to McDonalds and serve more than burgers. In 1980, the company was seized by Victor Posner, a Russian Jew who was famous for inventing the hostile takeover and paying himself exorbitant salaries. Posner was a serial tax evaded who was forced to file for bankruptcy and barred from being a director of a publicly traded company before his death. He sued his own parents and cut his children out of his will.

In other words, he was a giant stereotype of a greedy bastard who a certain people are probably very disdainful towards. I can see why there would be a grudge against any business run by such a person because his very existence is bad PR, even retroactively. Just a fast food theory, but would make sense why someone would be invested in spreading negativity about one of his former companies, particularly considering that the current CEO does not appear to be a member of that same group that was embarrassed by one of their own in the antics of Victor Posner.
