im going to be making a breakfast for me and my parents of the following;
>scrambled eggs* atop toasted sourdough
>croissant
all on one plate
on another plate;
>two slices of brie cheese topped with a thin slice of strawberry, lightly drizzled with honey

all served with fresh brewed coffee

*im going to melt some butter on low heat, add eggs, and stir until cooked to my liking, about the consistency of apple sauce

I think they'd like this very much and it's well thought out. I'd make their eggs to the consistency they like and have yours be the way you like. It's fine to have your own tastes but make sure you respect theirs, otherwise you can ruin the food on them.
