This was one of the best canned chilis, until it was bought out by a new company and they changed the recipe to make it cheaper. You would open the can up and there would be an inch of spiced grease at the top, which is how it was supposed to be because it was based on tavern chili. Chiliman Chili is decent too, but its no old school Rays Chili

I don’t know if it’s my taste having changed, but when I was a kid in the 80’s, Wolf brand chili was pretty good.

this is what you get for eating canned food.

the only acceptable food purchased in cans are single ingredients, like beans, tomatoes, or fish.

Its more of a time saver when you're in a hurry or too drunk to cook. Real chili would almost never be an option for busy people (or lazy people) because it takes all day.
The canned shit is acceptable as a topping or made into dip. If you know how and when to use it then its a valuable addition to your long shelf life food.

Only a few hours really. Even less with a pressure cooker. If you have a slow cooker all it takes is prep time because you can have it run while you're at work. But I can get how people don't want to go to the trouble. Especially I'd they have the disposable income to not give a fuck or if they get home late and don't want to wait until 9pm to eat dinner because their chili needs to simmer.

I eat canned stuff pretty frequently because it's cheap and convenient so I get it.

I haven't been able to get that up here since the mid-late 00s. I still get it in those freestyle machines sometimes but it's completely unavailable in supermarkets :(

The no beans canned chili tastes like dog food. Never get this shit. It’s probably dog meat
