My parents were uptight suburbanites who eat processed shit and go out to eat all the time and throw out 75% of what they buy. They lust after "healthy" food without even knowing what that means. They only define healthy by what they have been told is healthy.
Meanwhile I produce about 60% of my own food, another 20% is from local farms, Can easily up that to 30% next year. If there was an emergency I could be self sufficient. I don't give a fuck about what is and isn't healthy, it's more important that I have a personal connection with what I put in my body. Eventually this will extend to my clothing/medicine/hygiene. I'm not anti vax but I do think our current system of hyperconsumerism and technophilia is fucking up humanity. Fuck commies, fuck fascists, fuck capitalists.
