If you can into steel reserves early on then you will save A LOT of money. I could handle the morning after way better at 21 than I can now (not that it stops me.) I started drinking at 18 because the local liquor store didn't card me ever.

Also op try some simple sweet wines, asti, moscato, or lambrusco should do the trick. All can be found very inexpensively like under $10/bottle

Prosecco is also great, especially made into mimosas. I've always found carbonation and citrus juice make alcohol much more pleasant to drink.
