My local store just got in a batch of memenodles (as seen on YouTube ages ago) and I'm considering picking up a few packs. Are they worth it?

in all seriousness add about 2 tablespoons of soy milk when mixing the sauce, it cuts the heat and gives the sauce a nicer texture. they're too hot to enjoy otherwise

Yeah they're pretty good if you like ramen noodles and spicy shit. Just be aware you dont make them like a soup as you would cup noodle, you fry them.

There are 2x and 3x spicy, are they better/worse? Then there was a bunch of miscellaneous flavors I didn't remember like curry cheese?

Black bean, stew, and curry are all pretty decent IMO. Carbonara and cheese are just slightly warm, not really spicy, versions of mac'n'cheese but with noodles. I'm sure some people really like them but I find them pretty bland. 2x and 3x kind of only exist if you are in it purely for the spice, you can't really taste them anymore.

I like the 2x when I want something really spicy and carbo when I just want some kinda spicy. Carbo's especially good with some shredded parm and bacon bits mixed in at the end.

The normal 1x spicy is actually quite good. Anything hotter than that is not enjoyable. The 1x is actually quite spicy. Start there then see how that spiciness hits you, and if you'd like to go further.

Or don't. It's a fucking buck or two per bag, you're not really out much if you don't like it.

The original, cheese, carbo and stew-type are my favorites. Cheese really drives home the junk-foody taste though. It's like KD powder sprinkled over hot noodles.

They tear my guts up if I don't have them for a while though.

If you actually enjoy spicy food, then you'll definitely enjoy them. I like mine loaded up with spring onions and fried eggs.

That said, the 2x and above is genuinely spicy and if you can't handle it you'll hate it.
