These (and the egg) are better. For some reason, for the last 15+ years or so, regular Reese's cups always stick to the wrapper when you peel them out. These novelty items fare better.
I don't know if they changed their chocolate recipe or got cheaper on their paper, but it's so annoying. Not unlike Hershey's no longer wrapping their bars in foil, but just plastic, and putting a stripe of glue on the back to hold it.

I mean how long ago are we talking? They've definitely been known to do that for a long ass while, back to the 90s at least. But it has more to do with temperature than quality control or whatever. If they get too warm the chocolate gets slightly melted and they stick. Keep them in the fridge and you won't have that problem.
