Have you ever had an authentic philly cheesesteak? With cheese whiz and ketchup?

I’m Canadian and I hate poutine. I don’t like french fries, cheese curds are bland as shit, and the brown sauce gravy most places use is just liquid salt with a hint of beef.
It’s my great shame that it’s a huge seller at my restaurant. I made the gravy too good.

I grew up in Pennsylvania Dutch area. York/Lancaster. The worst thing I've ever put into my mouth was hot bacon dressing. It's the most disgusting salad dressing imaginable and they usually put it on fucking dandelion greens.

Also scrapple (pic related). It's pork scrap mashed into some sort of loaf, then sliced and fried to an almost burnt crisp. It's like Spam from hell. And they drench it in King's syrup. Breakfast item.

>anon, I've got some Hog Maw in the oven baking

Grandma can fuck right off unless she's breaking out the red beet eggs and some PA Dutch pot pie.

Not a dish but in Sweden they have this godis section in supermarkets with lots of different candies but for some reason they consider licorice as a candy. And some random candies can have licorice in it

I mean, there's sweetness in licorice, but it's hard to get past the bitter taste of anise for most people. Anise goes in liquor, not candy. :/
