Ok bros what is the ONE food that I can add or eliminate from my diet to best expand my lifespan statistically?

>> No.16449575

Add nuts
Eliminate white bread

>> No.16449578 [DELETED]

stop eating rice, bread or pasta

>> No.16449595

Eliminate all sodas if you really wanna live longer.
>inb4 durrr not a food
It has enough calories to be one, that's for fuckin' sure.

Who knows, the epidemiology on this is terribly biased and basically junk science

Notice how it's always "red AND PROCESSED meat" as a category. Why won't they measure them separately?

They don't have "whole and processed grains" as a category.

And also notice most of their claims are 'associations' with very low relative risk ratios.

tl;dr It's not clear but as a general heuristic the more processed a food is the more likely it will be bad for you.

(For the intellectually challenged, this don't NOT imply:
1) All processed foods are necessaily bad for you
2) Unprocessed foods are necessarily good for you)

Oh I don't drink pop at all
>>16449617
That's what I've been finding

My main takeaway seems to be
>Saturated and trans fats bad
>Fibre good
>Veggies good
>Things like keto etc are *probably* more harmful than helpful
>No sugar outside fruits
>Don't burn your food
>Avoid processed foods

I'm seeing oddly mixed results on Omega-6 so I'll leave it in

Does this seem like a reasonable set?

I would say either hot dogs or seed oils/ vegetable oils.

Seems very reasonable. Occasional probiotics are probably another easy one to add.

Surely the most sound choice is to eat a variety of foods to ensure you're getting all the vitamins and minerals you're body craves.

I would say that is not advised these days because most of the food on the market is frankly fake

I drink lots of vodka. That cleans out my system, and even cleans my teeth (I haven’t brushed in years, and haven’t had a cavity since).

I also eat a liverwurst sandwich pretty much every day – to counterbalance the effects the vodka has on my liver. I make my sandwiches on seeded rye (because it’s the healthiest bread), with mayo (because eggs are the best protein; I use kewpie, because the msg makes it taste better), coarse mustard (good for the white blood cells), zucchini pickles (because they taste good), and a bunch of baby spinach (just for filler; it could honestly be left out).

I also eat a lot of canned fish (mostly sardines, but also the occasional fancy smoked oysters) on saltines. They give you all your essential amino acids, and provide a nice opportunity to try out various hot sauces, which are generally very low in calories, while high in flavor and immensely prodigious to healthiness.

Aside from that, I drink large amounts of water (anywhere between ice-cold to slightly chilled) every day, always through a straw, and sometimes with a lemon wedge.

To each their own, I say, but I’m just shy of 30 and am doing better than most of you.

Sounds good in principle but hard to quantify in practice. Do I need the same amount of fruit as meat? Do I need the same amount of banana as I do beef?

The reality is humans are animals and as such other animals contain most of what is needed to 'be' an animal. Therefore eating a large proportion of our diet as animal will necessarily give us most of what we need.

Eliminate food. Calorie restriction has been shown in pretty much every species tested to extend lifespan and healthspan (provided it is not a malnutritious diet).

Start by doing some short fasts and reducing your total caloric intake by about 20%

Does that includes humans as well in real experimental studies? It'd be nice if true but I doubt it. And why limit total calories? We know that carbohydrate restriction creates a similar state to being fasted without the risk of malnourishment. The real enemy here should be insulin resistance and I'm pretty its not caused by the protein and fat.
