That one isn't the Sour IPA I was referring to. Sorry if the wording was confusing. Pic related was the Sour IPA.
I will answer the question for both beers though. They are both very good. New Belgium's Sour IPA has the hoppiness of an IPA but the well, sourness of a sour. It isn't super bitter or super acidic though. It is like the two kinds of beer dampen the parts of each other that a lot of people don't like.
As for the Tequila Barrel Aged Gose, it is great. Not my favorite Tequila Barrel Aged Gose, but damn good. You can taste the lime quite nicely and it is a very good beer for chilling on a summer day.

>Just how good is this?
i might be the wrong person to answer that because this is the only bourbon i have ever tasted in that price range
I just wanted something special with memetic energy and blanton's is pretty much the only option that's regularly available and not too overpriced in euroland
At first i was a bit afraid of the high proof (129.6) but within the first sip realized that it is super smooth, tasting much lighter than it actually is,
be warned though if you have any small cut or other sore spot in your mouth you will feel it.
then when you get to the different tasting notes it really confirmed the theory to me, that a bourbon needs to be high proof to bring out the flavor
it wasn't anything like wild turkey rare breed (only other barrel strength i have tasted) that really hits you in the face with a big mouth full of a thick and pleasant taste but overpowering all subtleties
but much more refined, presenting different notes one after the other, as you listen to them making it really interesting and honestly requiring quite a bit of focus not to get lost, at least from a newb like me
In comparison other good but not special bourbons (four roses single barrel, elijah craig small batch) suddenly appear to be really boring and flat, like everything is hidden behind a veil and you need to do actual work pulling out small hints of individual flavors
but once again i can't stress my inexperience enough in how much of that can be attributed to the high alcohol content enhancing an otherwise regular whiskey or it being actually really good
I wish i also had a bottle of the regular blanton's which many (much more experienced) reviewers describe as rather easy going and not too complex
to really see how the "alcohol=flavor" theory holds up

SFTB is just blanton's but not proofed down to 46.5%. It's also very hard to find in the US, as it was export-only until last year
the prior is 60 bucks
the latter is 150
If all you want is a good high-proof bourbon, stagg jr, elijah craig barrel proof, larceny barrel proof, baker's, booker's, or even shit like wild turkey rare breed are a way better value proposition. Blanton's is a collector's item that is also a good bourbon, and you pay for that fact.

Bought a bottle of this recently, it's a fucking weird gin. Definitely not representative of "gin" as a whole, but it was good. Beefeater is a good relatively inexpensive dry gin. Botanist is a much more floral, but not too floral still affordable gin. Hendricks is fine. Once you've tried those make decisions based on what you like. And, buy a bottle of Gordon's or something, cheap gin isn't necessarily terrible, I make gin and tonics with it when there's no beefeater.

It's the same amount of alcohol, but the rate at which you drink them will probably be different, so you may get drunk more or less quickly. For example, a shot of 1.5oz shot of 80 proof whisky and a 12oz can of 5% beer are the same alcohol content, but you'll feel the instant shot of liquor quicker than sipping a beer over 5 minutes

By working at a liquor store. Anon they want customer service experience, you learn the alcohol part on the job. My wife literally got hired by saying "I have retail experience" and that was it.

Don't feel crazy for wanting the job, though. It's a cozy gig and you tend to get a lot of perks. You also become one of those people that everyone in town knows. Tbh my wife loves it.
