Hypoglycaemia requires a very processed and easy to access carb, like sugar, raisins and whatnot. Oats take too much to digest and if you're in a low blood sugar crisis, you could enter coma and die.

It’s not weird. Speed and methamphetamine are similar in the way that opiates (such as norco) are similar to heroin. They’re essentially the same drug, but the chemical itself is slightly different in some way. Usually this difference is subtle in the way you get high but tremendous in the way your body absorbs it.

Generally, there’s two types of speed as well. There’s “speed” which is prescribed by doctors and is a pill with maximal purity. There’s also “speed” which is basically imitation meth brewed by some tweakers, typically with as little as 5% purity.

These subtle chemical differences are merely the way by which doctors convince you dangerous drugs are ‘safe’ and that there’s nothing wrong with putting them into your body. The truth is, a drug is a drug and it’s not better nor worse based on whose lab it was produced in.

They are almost exactly the same. The differences are so subtle it’s stupid. There’s even speed that’s sold as LSD because it’s an amphetamine that mimics some of the visuals of LSD. Anything with ‘amphetamine’ in the name that is a psychoactive drug is basically meth, and abuse of said drug will lead to the same type of addiction a meth user has.

On top of it all, most ‘tweakers’ aren’t just simply high as fuck for 3 days straight off of one hit. This type of behavior is the result of consistent drug use over those several days, and while meth makes it easier to stay awake, the staying up behavior is not controlled by the meth at all - it’s controlled by the addiction.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Meth penetrates the blood-brain barrier much more efficiently than, say, dextroamphetamine. There's a massive difference in how it gets you high and how neurotoxic it is.

The differences are subtle in the end result. People who get burnt out by these drugs are absolutely ruined as human beings. Whether you watch a train wreck in real time or slow motion, a train wreck is still a train wreck.

It’s definitely a well known problem with both prescription painkillers (read opioids) and prescribed amphetamines that once the prescription is cut off the patient will turn to the street stuff. This behavior has even been observed with people who take benzo’s and those aren’t even remotely as addicting as amphetamines or opioids.

There are people with certain mental conditions where this is actually not a bad thing (ADD/ADHD tend to benefit from amphetamines). However, there’s plenty of people who do abuse these medications, along with there being many doctors who abuse their ability to prescribe these medications and over-prescribe them and/or prescribe them to someone with very little evidence of such a disorder.
The medical system in the US is fucked m8 they won’t even give schizos the only drug that works bc it causes 0.1% of people to have internal bleeding, and yet it’s one of the most remarkably affective schizophrenia drugs out there (it’s called clonazepam, btw).

99% of the time, they just want their name on your bank statement, or getting payments from an insurance company. Your well-being comes second unless you have a personal doctor that isn’t a complete pile of shit human being. It’s rarer than you’d think!
