>Owner and chef constantly fighting, chef always crying he can't touch/change the menu and isn't at fault

Some of the episodes are great, but most of it is rehashed bullshit, or staged and edited to hell and back.

Also some of these people are fragile af, and they're probably told to keep the kitchen etc as rancid as fuck, which is retarded since most of it use it as advertisement for their business.

not me

I think it's the chef's fault for not having a spine, or even being unable to cook a decent meal.

I mean they fuck up shit like pasta and basic burgers as executive chefs.
Idk how real the firing in the show was, but I recall quite a lot of those "chefs" either resigning or getting fired. (like the Oceana episode with the nervous tic faced fuck)

A lot of owners have the idea that you have to do it their way. So even if something is better made on a flat top/pan, etc and they want you to microwave it, you microwave it.

Yeah I get that, but atleast one of those chefs should be able to cook properly right?

I mean some of these restaurants have retarded 100+ items on the menu, how the fuck can you not be decent at cooking if you know just about all of them. (even if they're shitty atleast some of them should come out right)

Still the show to me feels like a waste of time if you're talking about actually helping the restaurants.

They pick out the most retarded ones on purpose, and the way the edits are worked in (look at the scene of la galleria something, the after-interviews say "I hope he doesn't ask for the seafood special", and instantly after the waitress recommends it.

Only reason some of the reality TV is funny, is because it feels like i'm watching Tim&Eric or Eric Andre or Steve Bruhl, where you think what in the fuck are these animals.

It’s less about being able to cook properly and being allowed to cook properly. Not to mention if the owner is in control of ordering and buys a bunch of cheap garbage. At the end of the day, it’s an income source and if the owner demands you do things in a shitty way, you don’t just go behind their back and do it a better way and risk getting fired.

Also, new captcha is cancer

this one is about 50/50, a lot of the time there's a lazy useless chef AND owner.

UK kitchen nightmares doesn't have half of these problems. Like, I even get that we americans are soulless consumers wanting overedited, formulaic garbage but its literally always
>kitchen utterly revolting
>food done entirely wrong
>owner and/or chef out of their mind
>complete remodel
Like, you would think they would at least cut out one of the 4 parts every now and again to make it seem less staged. Hell, in the UK version there are plenty of restaurants that are actually pretty decent its just that they misunderstand the business model and intricacies.

UK noightmares is the same as US. The only difference is how the producers told Ramsey to act.
