The fact that so many books still name Macca's as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" fast food restaurant ever only tells you how far fast food still is from becoming a serious art. Food critics have long recognized that the greatest chefs of all times are guy fieri and gordon ramsey, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Cuisine critics rank the highly controversial andrew zimmern over who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Fast food critics, instead, are still blinded by commercial success. Macca's sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Food critics grow up eating a lot of food of the past, cuisine critics grow up eating a lot of cuisine of the past. Fast food critics are often totally ignorant of the fast food of the past, they barely know the best sellers.
