For repeat offenders I'll do petty shit that they're unlikely to notice or won't think to pin on me. Spitting on doorknobs/car handles, driving through their grass, etc. If I'm on my way to a house I know doesn't tip I'll usually shake up their soda or toss the pizza box up and down. When I quit I think I'll send glitter bombs to the regulars who never tipped. Delivery drivers have good ass memories when it comes to that kinda thing.

My areas mostly safe except for some of the mobile homes deeper in the woods. I don't think a single driver has been robbed in all my time working there, and even then I'm a 6'4" dude and we don't carry more than 15$ on us at a time.

Own vehicle, they pay me an extra .25 or .30 or something per mile that gets added onto my tips and I usually clock in 100 miles in a shift. Only recently on my third year of doing it has my car started showing its age but I'm not the one paying for its upkeep so I keep my moneys. It only costs me 30$ to fill my tank and it lasts for 3-4 shifts so I do alright.

Only two since im a lil zoom. Got my first job as a cashier+bagger at a grocery store and worked that for a year. Then one day my manager pulled me into her office and told me I'd been promoted to produce because too many customers complained I didn't look happy enough. Then I did that for two years before quitting for dominoes. That manager still hugs me every time I go in to shop.

I don't hear most of the complaints since I don't work the phones, but on busy nights we get alot of cancelled orders and people asking for refunds if wait times get too long. The only time someone has actually complained to my face about not being happy with her order I said "Damn that sucks. Have a good night." Then walked away.

I worked there too. We weren't allowed to eat the returned stuff if the customer had touched it, even if it was just the box. So many nice pizzas wasted. Also it seemed like 80% of the people we delivered to were stoners.
Pretty good job if you get a good manager. I was driving a shitbox with a fucked head gasket and no coolant. Maintenance was cheap enough, typically putting on new tyres and constantly topping up oil. Haven't found anything better than speeding around at 11pm blasting your favourite music. Doesn't even feel like a job in those moments.
Ended up leaving when my manager transferred and was replaced by a mega cunt.

This happened mainly before the pandemic and now recently that people have stopped caring about social distancing. Lot of people here have pools and lake houses so it’s not uncommon to hand a pizza to some one in a bikini or swim trunks. Nightgowns and bedrobes would just be people who ordered early in the morning before they’re dressed or late at night before bed.

I’ve put a lot of thought into the whole idea of merit based tipping with delivery for distance driven or number of pizzas and while I think it’s ok in theory I’m still disappointed whenever I take a delivery that’s close by and they give me a cheap tip. I just do 20% in all cases.
