Guys, this equation was solved in the 90’s. First, you go to the bulk candy store. You know the scales are stiff at lower quantities and charge you less. Get your sugar locked in, preferably under $2.

Next, you need to decide if you can swing a (beginning stage Gen X) sale cassette tape or (end stage Gen X) CD. This was largely dependent on random chance and if your jam got tossed into the $8 or $7 sale bins. Often this would actually be your primary win for the day.
