At one point when I was making good money and living autistically I used to try to get in and out of a grocery store within 15 minutes but it was impossible just because of mexican families that had 10 kids or kin or whatever hogging up the whole aisle. i know spanish but I hate to speak it unless i'm insulting someone so i used to wait 4-15 seconds before shoving one of their meandering kids aside so I could get to the sour cream and say "suck my dick"

I despise autists at the store. I shop late at night because I work NOC, which means all the spergs are trenchcoating around the aisles getting their weeb shit. Recently one was so terminally awkward, I was trying to get close to the bags of rice but xhe was standing in front of the area comparing pocky boxes, but the closer I got the more it kind of sunk in their shoulders and crouched down. By the time I just said fuck it and grabbed the rice, they were practically duck and covering while emitting a very low "eeeeeeeeee" sound.

I'd still rather have them than joggers though.

I was at a Walmart once trying to buy some caulk for a home improvement project because I had run out. It was 10 minutes till closing, I just had to get this one thing, and while going to check out this enormous 500lbs+ woman pulled up to the 20 or less register in front of me. Every other lane was packed so I just stayed in line. She was buying huge amounts of junk food and shitty mumus and was eating out of a giant bucket of greasy, buttery popcorn from the cafe, rubbing grease all over fucking everything. When it was time to pay, she couldnt, so she started asking the cashier to take off certain items. This went on for 20 fucking minutes with her "hmming" trying to decide if she needed a jumbo bag of cheetos more than the bulk toilet paper. At sone point all the other registers were closed, so I was just stuck standing behind this display with my caulk in hand. In the end, after getting incredibly bitchy to the cashier, she threw a little hissy fit and just fucking left, abandoned her shit, didnt buy anything and stormed out.

The poor fuck cashier was nice enough to still let be check out even though it was considerably after closing. That guy probably has to deal with shit like that every day.

Define early? Doesn't really work in here since elderlies are all over the place at 8-9 in the morning if the place is opened. Also, the delivery couriers, especially if the place is big. My shtick is going for groceries at my nearest 24/7 store at 3-5 in the night. By this time they've updated the fresh fruit/veggie zones and by 5 there's fresh bread delivered. Close to none customers, you can actually feel comfortable, maybe chat a bit with an isle worker or a cashier. Cosy af.

Yes the store was built for all those aisles to be open; but the managers and higher ups get bonuses for running their locations at minimal hours with a skeleton crew.
The same premise is designed to make someone working minimum wage fear for their job safety and work when they're sick because if they don't come in they're screwing over the other people who are also making minimum wage.

I did a stint in the lawn and garden section of a home improvement store a few summers back. I worked my butt off for them because they provided as much water as we needed, a minifridge with a lock to keep it cool and non lawn and garden people out, would give us anything off the shelves we needed for work, and didn't fight me or give me grief when I needed worker's comp. If anything I disliked some of my coworkers because while I was out in the middle of July loading back to back orders of a few dozen bags of mulch the long-time employees would be inside the store looking busy whenever they couldn't justify using the forklift.
