Not like that. I have spread a little butter on a burger bun however, and I think it enhanced the sandwich all in all.

How can anybody think this is good idea?
What is the logic, the kilo of butter make it tastier?
Even a regular hamburger is a bad meal in term of healthy food and yet, you found a way to make it worst.

Not really. It's the super greasy fries slathered in ketchup and soda that are usually the issue with burger meals. I guess extra butter could be good on a burger if you're using really lean beef but that still seems like too much.

When I watched family guy there's an episode where Peter smothers himself with butter and I thought "haha, that's a silly thing. no American would do that, right?" but it's really not a meme. Amerilards really do feel the need to put butter on everything and it shows....in world record obesity.

>Amerilards really do feel the need to put butter on everything and it shows....in world record obesity.

If only that were true. It's the endless bags of chips, the corn syrup sweeteners, the removal of natural fats from processed foods and their replacement with filler carbs.... and when combined with fats people add themselves, like butter... Well that completes the fatification process.

I made a confit garlic butter for some garlic bread and with leftovers the next day I buttered up the buns for a burger and toasted them up nice. The flavour of the garlic bread buns was incredible but realistically it was waaay to greasy. I may just do one side next time.

it's crazy how the Midwest is basically how the rest of the world see's American food, shitty, flavored with a ham fist rather than a light touch and coronary inducing. These are the same cunts who will say Chinese food is bad for you because MSG.

It was invented by government economists as a way to promote dairy sales and use up the USA's excess supply of butter, which would otherwise be stored in underground nuclear cellars in preparation for war with the USSR. After the Cold War ended, like with government cheese, the USA had to come up with some way to make people eat up all the excess production of America's dairy farmers lest the entire industry go to the hell of deflationary low prices and mass farm closures. Thus, butterburgers, parmesan cheese, and Taco Bell were invented.

Red meat will still be more satiating than fries though, so you'll be less likely to be. White bread isn't really good for you, but at least mixed with meat and vegetables it doesn't cause as much of a blood sugar spike. Iceberg isn't bad just because it's not super nutritious. Most onion on burgers is raw but even for cooked onion it might have some vitamins destroyed from the heat but you'll be able to easily absorb others too.

Even the fries themselves probably aren't too bad, but the soda and ketchup will be adding hundreds of calories from pure sugar.

That's Solly's in Milwaukee. Supposedly the home of the butter burger. I went there once and it was absolutely disgusting; it's just a normal diner style burger and they put half a stick of butter on it.

I have to think the place did things differently 100 years ago because it makes no sense to me how they even remain open.
