With the exception of the food coloring and caramel color, none of those ingredients are truly horrific or even bad for you. Though I do wish the FDA mandated that near-exact caloric content be displayed. "Calorie free" is almost impossible to achieve with most products, and it shouldn't be allowed to be advertised that way. Most people have no concept or understanding of food energy and this only perpetuates ignorance, and facilitates what should be unlawful food packaging labels and marketing.

I wish the FDA wasn't a meme.

Do you really think it matters if they write 0.01 calories per serving instead of 0? The kind of ignorance people have about food energy isn't in the realm of some minutia like that. They literally think the temperature of the food affects the caloric content to a meaningful degree, certain vegetables have negative calories so if you eat them with pie it'll cancel out, and food has less calories the fatter you are. It's all completely schizophrenic.

The main point was, if people acknowledged that all foods (except specific ones like sucralose which contain 0 food energy, but let's not be too pedantic here (yes I see the irony)) then it would hopefully let those people have the realization that they are the cause of their fatness. Corn starch is still starch, so it can't be 0% carb. I guess they are rounding it down to 0. Also, some of the fiber can get converted to short chain fatty acids in the colon.
