If I am looking to cross off all my cravings, there will be:
won ton soup
pork egg roll w/mustard
pot stickers if they have them

moo goo gai pan and mushroom egg foo young to be healthy with white rice. Alternately orange beef w/broccoli and brown rice.

or to not be healthy, something pan fried like a szechuan steak, honey chicken or sweet n sour pork and with pork fried rice. I will get a chili paste on the side.

I miss dumplings from the 2001-2007 era. Not sure why they suck now from all take out places. My former favorite lost now forever. Luckily the mooshu pork is a winner but if you order delivery they forget the FUCKIN PANCAKES!! Chooches.

I think a nice little meal of chicken and garlic sauce broccoli plus some hoisin sauce on the side and a shrimp egg roll is dynamite. Hard to mess up. Or you can do my favorite thing and get house fried rice with extra veggie. They put veggies in there to that don’t normally go like broccoli.

Finally I recommend looking to see if subgum wonton is available. I got TMJ and can’t eat that anymore because of the C R O N C H but you can!!

i make several anonymous tips under different names saying i witnessed incredibly unhygienic practices in the restaurant or that they underpay the staff/pay in cash to avoid tax. i do this for any chinese restaurant that opens in my town and ive made at least 3 close down.

I like Chinese takeout but it all tastes the same, you might as well order random stuff from the menu, it all has the same taste to it. Probably because they use the same exact sauces/spices for everything, I guess. It's not just Chinese actually. Most restaurants are like this. Pick any given restaurant, whether it's Chinese or Thai or whatever, most likely all of their dishes will taste like variations on the same fucking taste of the same fucking sauce.

I get that sometimes you just want your orange chicken or whatever other Jewish created American Chinese food (look it up); I get it, it's full of high fructose corn syrup and other shit to appeal to the average American's palate, but there are legit, authentic Chinese restaurants all over america. You just gotta avoid restaurants that have the words: "wok, star, kitchen, palace, or 'China X'".

pic related is my go to order at the best Chinese restaurant near me. From left to right: 椒鹽豆腐/Sichuan Pepper and Salt Tofu, 重慶辣子雞/Chongqing Fried Chicken, 乾扁四季豆/Sichuan Style Green Beans, 水煮牛/Beef in spicy broth. This meal is totally in line with the American palate as well; its got fried stuff and the spices are good to balance the meal. You can probably find all 4 of these items at your local Chinese restaurant; look specifically for Sichuan places.

Total cost: $45, including the 10% Chinks only discount and free rice; enough food for me and a few friends/leftovers just for me for 3 days.
