>he doesn't save his bacon fat
Almost all the calories in bacon are in the fat which you end up throwing away. You're literally paying to waste more than half your food. It's like buying a chicken, deboning it, throwing the meat and skin into the trash, just so you can use the bones for stock. Makes no sense.
Strain your bacon grease and keep it in a jar in the fridge and it will easily last several months. I've even used some that was in the fridge for almost a year without any issue. It doesn't have a strong bacon flavour, but fried eggs and omelettes taste noticeably better with it.

>B-but bacon grease is unhealthy!
Not as unhealthy as you think, especially if it's from pigs that haven't been raised eating only corn and soy garbage. If you're a pussy, you can just use less of it, anyway. You eat a pound of bacon without batting an eye but you're afraid of 1-2 tablespoons of bacon grease in a skillet?

STOP WASTING YOUR BACON GREASE (= MONEY)

Yes, and you're still wasting most of it in the fat.

what you want is lard however the stuff you get from frying bacon won't be the same because there will be little of it and most of it will be ruined due to too high tempereture when frying

there's not much reason to freeze it if you pre-strain it to keep it from getting rancid too quickly. just keep it in the fridge next time.

Let's be honest, it's NOTHING like that

I always cook an omelet or something after bacon so I can use the grease immediately to cook something else. Mushrooms are great too because they'll absorb all the grease like a sponge.

all drains get clogged eventually, tiny amounts of butter, oil, and meat grease when you have to wash the dish, builds up.

Based. I have a special container with a metal sieve on it to filter the solids from the grease. I use the shit thats stuck in the sieve for flavoring stocks. Bacon is expensive as hell, and I actually found that valuing the grease over the bacon will help you save TONS of money, like ends and pieces bacon is just as delicious and half the price.

If I gave even the tiniest fuck about getting the most calories for my money, I'd eat rice and beans.

A fun fact about the calories in bacon grease: they're not all included in the nutrition facts on the package. The calorie information is for bacon "as prepared" which is presumed to mean that you fried it in a pan and poured the grease away. If you eat every bit of grease you're not just getting your money's worth, you're actually getting more.
