Am I the only one who buys his alcohol from several shops to avoid looking like an alcoholic?

I buy take out from a different place each time because i don't want to be recognized. If they ever remember me, I stop going to that place.

Yes. Also you're a beta male if you care what cashiers think of you.

I do that. It's my only motivation to get a little exercise since I have to walk to the different shops.
They probably still know, though.

How can someone fall so far, dang

>> No.16171149

I used to alternate between 3 or 4. The downside is that one store is always consistently sometimes cheaper than the others.

I always buy a few other things. Then it doesn't look so bad when I buy a bottle of vodka at 9am.

Used too, no longer give a shit.
I always buy a case of six 1.75L vodka, the $8.99 bottles. Constantly annoyed the employees stack single bottles on top of the cases so I have to move all that shit to grab a case. I put the bottles on the floor in the aisle and leave them there.

>> No.16171173

I'll spread it out over the few shops in my vicinity but it's more part of my general shop rotation really, I don't delude myself people don't recognize me always buying alcohol after 15 years.

I remember being there. Now I don't even think about booze

i find the fact that you care about what some losers who work at a fucking bottle shop think about you is far worse a sin than you being an alcoholic. are you a woman or something?

I mix it up during the day. sadly only one store has the steel reserves that I crave

1.75l for $8.99? Is this a legit price? In the U.K. The cheapest bottle of spirt you can find is maybe £8.99 for 0.7l
The only thing that stops me drinking some times is running out of money...

>> No.16171449

I buy from three different stores
the cashiers in on of them recognise me already unfortunately because I was stupid enough to go buy another bottle there after chugging the first one
one time when I was only there for groceries the cashier asked me "no vodka today?"
felt bad

not him, but that sounds legit for prices in the US. especially if he's buying bottom shelf stuff.

I worked a hotel reception for a few years. I recognized repeat guests from year or two ago and how they behaved and whether they did anything out of ordinary. Trust me, every single cashier both knows AND knows you try to hide it.

>> No.16171576

Oh shit, we're all doing the same thing. That's fucking disheartening. I'm trying hard to slow down on drinking and eventually quit. I don't drink on Sundays anymore which I think is helping me change my mindset. But I want to get that 6 days a week down to one day and progress is slow. I've already been to the hospital twice while trying to sober up over the last 14 months. I'd like to avoid that experience again.
>just go to AA dude

I trust no one, especially groups and organizations. Have to do it by myself.

Allen Carr has a book on the subject and I'm sure you can find a free pdf of it online.

I never see any for less than 9.99. The only thing that stops me running out of money is that I homebrew. Only the guy in the HB shop can guess at how much I drink.

if you search the book title on library genesis it comes up, it's epub but Calibre is a pretty based desktop epub reader. otherwise I think you can just import it into an ereader app on your phone.

Unless you are religious or willing to become religious forget AA.
I know, it's not about religion so they tell you but why are we holding hands and reciting the lords prayer?
