I worked at mcdonalds for almost a decade and I only associate the smell of that shit food with the smell of the grease that gets on everything. Eat mcdonalds if you have to but for the love of god please anyone reading this, do not order anything that goes in the deep fryer (sorry no fries, no nuggies)
The fryer oil is passed through a filter filled with magnesol XL, this powdery shit that is supposed to extend the life of high volume cooking oil, and then filter basin is just sprayed out with a hose and left to air dry somewhere, and it's all caked with polymerized oils and it's an absolute nightmare. I really regret not taking pictures of it when I still worked there but I never kept my phone on me because I didn't want to get it all greasy. I can provide other good reasons to not eat mconalds if anyone is trying to quit and needs the motivation.
