It's cured meat, so a long time. Mold can appear on the exposed meat, but you can cut off a larger slice and then you're back in business. In my family (5) it rarely lasted more than a month or two.

When I was in Spain, my mother wouldn't let me bring the whole leg, so I bought these 48 month cured stuff from esclats. They were fine
>I go to my friend's grandparents house
>they make some fire in their garden and cooked some weird sprint onions
>mfw they have a special sauce just for these vegetables
>mfw these calçots are actually amazing
their grandparents bring this jamón leg out and start carving. They ask, how much jamón do I usually have and say I only have a few slices of pre made stuff. They start laughing and have me these wafer thin you very very tasty slices.

The lowest quality legs (not iberico) are about 60 euros and they're good if they're freshly cut. It probably doubles in prize for exports. 200 should give you something more interesting but i doubt it will be proper iberico.

generally cant or arent allowed to have any portion of your house underground in Australia, with exceptions for places like Coober Pedy.
soil in Aus is mostly awful silty sandy shit which sucks to build on, or it's clay soil which expands/contracts with rainfall (also bad) so basements and cellars dont exist.

At best you'd have to just have enough space in the fridge to keep it in there.

>>16061390
yeah but spain is a "warm" country and Australia is a "fukken hot" country.
Europe and the US generally dont have to worry about flies, bugs and insects.
Australia, literally any uncovered food has literally 100s of flies on it within seconds.
Leave it for an hour or two and eggs will hatch and the cunt will be literally riddled with maggots.

No joking, you cant even leave pizza out here. We left a leftover slice and some pizza bones out one time during a lan party and an hour later the entire kitchen floor was covered with maggots

fucking fascinates us that places like Europe have such mild climates with no insects that they can just leave food out like that
