yesterday i needed to clean some pots and pans so I mixed bleach with vinegar which reacted and created a small chlorine gas cloud in my kitchen. my nose immediately stung like hell and knocked me tf out.

I had a girl come over. Made dinner and forgot to turn off the (electric) stove.

Hours later we were trying to sleep, but it was too fucking warm. I went to the kitchen for a glass of water and the air was hot as fuck.

The whole area around the cooking plate burned to the touch. Even the plastic buttons were painful to touch.

I got scared, so I filled a pot with cold water and put it on the stove so it'd cool down. It started boiling almost immediately. It was creepy as fuck. I had to repeat several times until it cooled down.


Another time I left to visit this girl in Summer. Was supposed to be a booty call but I ended up staying a week with her. Forgot that I hadn't taken out the trash.

I came back to find the whole kitchen, including walls and ceiling, crawling with maggots.

I gassed the whole room with Raid and spent the rest of the day removing the dead fuckers from every surface.

A few months ago I drunkenly put a to go order dish from an Italian place into the microwave that had a soft paper lid and the bowl itself might have been alumnium, I dont know which part caught on fire first. No real damage done other than a waste of overpriced food

I decided to make fried rice that called for 1 CLOVE of garlic.
I'd never used garlic before and assumed a clove was just the name of the entire garlic itself......

I was 10 when I made soup for the first time and didn't know ladels existed for a reason, so I dumped volcano hot soup into the bowl straight out of the pot.
A chuncky potatoe splashed the boiling water and burned my forearms pretty badly, hurt to put on longsleeves for a few days.

A friend of mine once spent an entire day making a tonkotsu broth for homemade ramen. After simmering for ten hours or so he went to strain the broth. Unfortunately he forgot to put a bowl under the colander and dumped the whole thing down the sink.
