McDonalds changed many of its recipes to cave to vegans/hindus/Jews/people who fell for Supersize Me. Zno it shouldn't and the reason is because it slightly helps keep the tax down because it's visible to everyone so they know how much the state is fucking them. in everything where the tax rate is astronomical like say liquor they magically "include it in the cost for convenience". reason being people would be more likely to get pissy if they knew they're $25 item was $10 but after an 150% tax it was $25

it's also not really fair to say "omg so expensive $6.60 fuck McDonald's" when 10% of that cost wasn't even from them. Once again Americans aren't as dumb as you want them to be, now go pay that 25% vat hidden in the cost so you don't have to think about how much you're getting robbed
