Why do some people have such a hate boner for this reliable fellow?

>> No.15966474

Microwaves are the cornerstone of western civilization, anybody who hates them is a backwards savage

>> No.15966570

cuz microwaves wear a tinfoil hat on their door, its a white Supremacist conspiracy theory, just go doorless

Microwaves are an inferior method of heating up anything that isn't liquid (like soup) or pasta.

The oven or a pan will always make your leftovers taste better than using a microwave.

Ask me how do i know you're a fat fuck who eats frozen food from costco.

>> No.15966967

I pretty much just use mine for melting butter and reheating leftovers. I haven’t made a microwave ready meal in years.

Do people really eat popcorn at home?
I've only ever had it at movie theaters and amusement parks

because soybean oil and canola oil or whatever industrial crap they use in microwave popcorn is so much better for you.

Many such cases.

Plenty of people have never owned a good microwave.

If you're not spending at LEAST $200 it was probably shit.

A good microwave is a boon to any kitchen.

>> No.15967217

Probably the myths that microwaves cause cancer. I heard about it, did some research, and there doesn't seem to be a major link between microwaves and cancer. Still though: toaster ovens give you more control thus a better cook, and with a lesser risk of cancer, why not use toaster ovens instead? They also tend to be cheaper and more reliable.

Use the right tool for the job.
A microwave is passably adequate for many tasks, but well suited for few.
A toaster oven is comparably sized, similarly priced, and generally produces better results.
If all you have is a microwave, fine. You won't starve.
If you want better food, there are better tools available.

because it reliably makes my unevenly heated food taste flavorless and rubberlike in texture, at "muh quick and convenience" meme gimmick

No they aren't, they are convenient. Microwaves are inconvenient because you are forced to lower your standards and trick yourself into enjoying garbage.

another coconut oil hating shill

yea that stuff is shit, I'll use coconut oil any day, and most olive oil is fake from the olive oil mafia anyway.

This.

I find that running the microwave at mediumish power for longer rather than blasting shit at full does a pretty good job at heating up most leftovers. Way less time than oven or stove and you can just heat stuff back up in paper plates/bowls which also saves time and effort

Microwaves are actually great for steaming vegetables, if you use a steaming dish like pic related.

I put heirloom hull less popcorn in a paper bag and microwave it. It comes out just fine. I can also use less oil than when I do it in a pan since I'm only adding it for flavor. I can't make as much, but I get the perfect amount for a single serving in the microwave.
